As the founder of Louise Brooks Holistic & Skin CareTherapies - I have been a Registered General Nurse (Leeds) for over 20 years and trained as a Health Visitor (Oxford) before working for many years as a Practice Nurse and Manager in Milton Keynes and Bedford.
My particular areas of expertise were Asthma Care (Asthma Dip), Women’s Health (FPcert) and Counselling. Having trained with the Bedford Counselling Centre I obtained a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and worked in the Bedford area, as well as within a Medical Practice in Milton Keynes. My work has always been very person centered and my decision to move in to the field of Holistic therapies and skin care was therefore a logical step for me. Our physical and mental health are closely linked and as we are all becoming increasingly aware, ill health is often a manifestation of the stress and tensions we struggle with in our day to day lives. Many of the treatments offered are helpful in addressing stress reduction, aiding relaxation and helping rebalance mind and body. My other passion is good skin care. My focus is not really about beauty, but is much more about skin health with targeted results, specific to your needs. Using Dermalogica products, a personalised treatment regime enables you to maximise results with products that work.
All clients will be Face Mapped to allow your therapist to identify your skin needs and achieve the results you require, so that your skin not only looks good, but feels good too.
